Warning: a fake website is using our name and address
rarecandycollect.shop (previously rarecandycards.shop) is pretending to be us.
It has nothing to do with us
A website called rarecandycollect.shop (previously rarecandycards.shop) is pretending to be Rare Candy Collectibles. It has copied our shop name and our address at 18 Guildhall Street, Dunfermline, and is taking card payments for cards and accessories that are never sent.
It has nothing to do with us.
We do not sell online. Our only website is rarecandycollectibles.co.uk, and we only sell in the shop.
We never take card payments through any website. We have not received any orders or money placed on that site, and we cannot fulfil or refund them.
If you have paid on that site
- Contact your bank or card provider straight away and ask for a chargeback for a fraudulent transaction. Do this today — the sooner the better.
- Report it to Police Scotland on 101 (or Action Fraud if you're in England, Wales or Northern Ireland).
- If you can, send us a screenshot of your order and the link you used — it helps us get the site taken down. Message us on Facebook or Instagram.
What we're doing about it
We've reported the site to Shopify, the domain registrar and the police, and we're working to get it shut down. Thank you for your patience — and please share this with anyone who might have been caught out.
